The boys Dear Ugly, Plunko and Trunko stayed at Uncle Markus' house

when their mommy Lisa went on a trip to Washington D.C. with Moxy!

They were very sad and cried a lot but they wished their mommy a nice trip!

I showed them a german newspaper article

about Barack and Michelle Obama.

I told them that their mommy is going to meet Mr. President!

To make them happy but also to have an eye on them, I invited

Judy's Ranger Tigger. His is an authority!

As a National Park Ranger he instantly spotted the Mustard in our garden.

To get rid of this invasive plant, he invited the boys to help him.

Like a good interpreter he explained first how the mustard came

to the United States and how it takes over

the space of the native plants.

He also told them that the native animals

depend on native plants for food and shelter.

Then they started weeding. Trunko wasn't really sure which plant he

should pull out, but after a second explanation by Ranger Tigger they were

really into it!

Fight the weeds! Fight the weeds! Fight the weeds! Fight the weeds!

Fight the weeds! Fight the weeds! Fight the weeds! Fight the weeds!

Fight the weeds! Fight the weeds! Fight the weeds! Fight the weeds!

Fight the weeds! Fight the weeds! Fight the weeds! Fight the weeds!

Plunko was so excited, he carried the mustard out on his head and

stepped into a hole. Fortunately it was not a snake hole and

Ranger Tigger was able to get him out easily!

Very proud of their hard work they showed Ranger Tigger

that huge pile of mustard they "killed".

As a reward he invited them to a campfire program this evening.

Although their hard work they showed up at the fire pit way too early.

But they were so anxious to see the program and to hear these

famous Ranger stories.

Finally Ranger Tigger ignited the fire and all of them were facinated by

these huge flames, the sparks and the cracking noise of the burning wood!

Ray wasn't quite sure if he really likes the fire.

Then Ranger Tigger began to tell his stories, and although they were

very tired of their hard work nobody fell asleep.

At the end of the program they sang a song together.

When they returned to their room they still hummed and

whistled that song!

It was a great and exciting day!
